Story

Ever since I was 6 years old, I have wanted to dance. I watched Step Up 1 and that was the starting point of my journey. At 6 years old I new that I wanted to dance and more than anything I wanted to go to school for dance. Ever since that day, dance became my whole world. It wasn't until my 10th Christmas that I got my very first dance class. Everything in my life changed, I was 10 years old and had my entire life planned out. I knew what I wanted and there was nothing going to get in my way. At my studio, I met the most amazing teachers who changed my life. They became family and worked so hard to help me achieve everything I wanted. Then something happened. I found out there was a highschool for the performing arts in Toronto. So, I applied and auditioned all by myself, for the chance to live the dream of my 6 year old self. AND I GOT IN. However, my dance studio is in Barrie, so there was no chance that I was going to leave my studio... I am now 16 years old and live in Barrie. In order to go to school at Etobicoke School of the Arts, I wake up at 4 am and catch the train to school. It takes me 4 hours to get to school and then when I commute back to Barrie, I dance at my studio all night. I'm exhausted and sometimes barely make it through the day... But I have never been this happy. I am living my dream, and everyday I push myself to do the impossible. I am now one step closer to achieving my ultimate goal, to go to Juilliard. One step closer.
