I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. When I was 13 I switched to a new studio, a more reputable one. I was very excited, not knowing what obstacles I would have to go through. Once I made it where I wanted to be, I was told I was not good enough to be on this "elite" team who got all the opportunities. I was on a good team, just not the favorites. I continued to work hard, but dance became a burden and was not fun anymore. I was in a rut. Last month, a big blowup at my studio happened and everything changed. After a lot of heartache and searching for the right answer, I am now finally happy and growing in my dancing. I have teachers who love and care for me and tell us that we actually can dance and don't tell us we're bad. I cannot wait for comp season!!
