Dance has been my way of talking without actually speaking! Growing up, I lived in a great home with a great family. But in school, it was tough. I was on an I.E.P (Independent Education Plan) with Central Auditory Processing Disorder and Executive Function Disorder and Severe Testing Anxiety a.k.a I was just a very slow thinker and my brain just work fast like other kids. Dance was my way of knowing that I could be accepted even though I was special needs. Now, I'm not only a dancer, I'm a dance teacher. I was given the opportunity to become an assistant dance teacher for my studio and let's just say, even though I'm slow, those kids that I teach everyday will love me as Miss Kayla! I couldn't be happier!!
